It's a Joke

My wife saw my new profile photo, and told me that I look dorky. I told her that I was going for "dorky, so thank you very much." She said that it looks like "you're dorky, but you think you look cool." I said that "I was trying to look dorky, while making people think that I think I look cool."

Anyway, all that to say that the picture is a joke. I very rarely take myself seriously, and I suggest you do the same.

Dude, I think that you look cool even if you don't think that I think that you were thinking that I think that you are cool.
In fact, you are almost as cool as cool steve from texas.

Oh. I thought you were trying to "become all things to all people." You know...start a cowboy church with fiddles and square dancing...

Andrew, you look exactly like someone who would be on the pastoral staff of this church.

In fact, your presentation in this photo is so compelling, I was thoroughly mystified by the links on your main blog page, and the books you were reading. Instead of Blue Like Jazz, I was expecting something along the lines of Brown Like ..., well, you get the idea. Instead you've got all this anglican and anglican-friendly stuff.

I suppose it might look interesting to see that the priest is wearing pointy-toe boots under his alb and chasuble when he's kneeling at the altar, maybe even more interesting than noticing that the priest is a member of some discalced order.

Anyhoo, it's a good looking hat. But, if you ever attend worship at St. Athanasius we -- unlike the Cowboy Church -- ask the men to take them off, and for the women to put them on.
